Determined to reduce the ecological impact of having 2 small children we have almost always used reusable cloth diapers. Living in Dominica, it’s been a costly endeavour to order them in US currency, pay shipping and then customs duty but to me it’s totally worth it. On the occasions where we do use a disposable, it doesn’t feel so good to know that the diaper will end up in our landfill and may not break down until our great-great-great-great grandchildren are elderly!
Recently a competition came up that means we can win 6 of our favourite pocket cloth diapers. All we have to do is out up a photo of our baby in the reusable diaper and ask our friends to click on a facebook link and press ‘like’ – simple. Now with one week to go we need a whole lot more votes to win the grand prize which will keep more disposables out of the garbage and feel to us like a reward for our efforts!
If you have a facebook account, please take 5 seconds to click the link below and press ‘like’. Of course there is a whole lot more we can do to be ecologically responsible, but maybe this one little step taken by one small family will be a positive drop in the ocean! Thanks
