March 8th 2009 is International Women’s Day. There is a lot to celebrate as women have made remarkable progress in all areas of society and continue to gain greater levels of equality. And yet of course there is also a lot to still consider as statistics show that women are still disadvantaged in arenas such as wages, politics, health, media representation and religion.
